EASA Part-147 Maintenance Type Training Course
for Aircraft Engineers & Aviation Technicians
B1 Mechanical Course Objectives
To give the student an in-depth knowledge of the Fokker 50/60 (PWC PW125/127) Airframe, Engine, Electrical and Avionic LRU’s Systems. On completion the student will have sufficient knowledge to perform the tasks required on the practical element worksheets under the supervision of Part-145 authorised certifying staff and on completion of the practical worksheets to perform the duties required of an Airframe, Engine, Electrical certifying engineer/technician and to apply for the appropriate Company Approvals/Licence Type Rating.
The theoretical training is in accordance with Part-66 appendix III.
Initial Standard required to attend the B1 course.
As determined by Company requirements but will not be less than the holding of a Part-66 B1 Mechanical Aircraft Maintenance Licence or a Part-66 B2 Avionic Aircraft Maintenance Licence
Course Duration
The course duration is 20 instruction days (120 hours) based on six instruction hours per day Monday to Friday inclusive.
Examinations
There are 4 phase examinations each containing approximately 40 multiple choice objective questions. The examination pass mark is 75% without penalty marking. All examinations must be passed, all examinations will be reviewed and the students will be informed of their results.
