We’re proud to announce that Glennair has officially received B1.3 approval for the Leonardo AW169, powered by the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW210 engine, from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and EASA.
This latest approval marks an exciting step forward in the continued expansion of our training portfolio and reaffirms our commitment to delivering high-quality, industry-relevant type training for licensed aircraft engineers.
What This Means
With this new B1.3 approval, Glennair is now fully authorised to deliver maintenance training on the AW169 airframe and engine combination, meeting all the regulatory and technical standards required by the UK CAA. This ensures that engineers trained by Glennair are equipped with the knowledge and practical skills needed to maintain and support this modern and versatile helicopter platform.
Why It Matters
The AW169 is a popular choice among both civilian and government operators for its performance, flexibility, and advanced avionics. As demand for skilled maintenance personnel grows, we’re proud to support the aviation industry by providing the qualifications that engineers need to work on this aircraft safely and competently.
