Glennair Secures EASA B1 & B2 Maintenance Approval for MD900 Helicopter
We’re pleased to share that Glennair has received official B1 and B2 maintenance approval from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for the MD900 helicopter – also known as the MD Explorer.
This dual certification enables Glennair to deliver both mechanical (B1) and avionics (B2) maintenance services for the MD900, strengthening our position within the rotary-wing maintenance sector and expanding the support we offer to operators across Europe and beyond.
About the MD900
The MD900 is a twin-engine light utility helicopter widely recognised for its advanced NOTAR® (No Tail Rotor) system, which improves safety, enhances manoeuvrability, and significantly reduces noise levels – making it an ideal platform for urban operations, law enforcement, emergency services, and more.
Meeting Industry Demand
This latest approval reflects our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, technical competence, and regulatory compliance. As the MD900 continues to see active use across multiple sectors, Glennair is proud to support operators with the approved maintenance services required to keep these aircraft performing at their best.
